Beautiful space, family owned business, cooked food with pride, yogu is home-made and excellent!’ Cute and friendly dogs! But our room (115) had no toilet paper and heater was not working! We asked for someone to restock our toilet paper but it didn’t come. It was very cold at night because the heater was not working and there was no windows, so we had to open the door for ventilation which makes it even colder and less safe because it faced the road!

Even it’s not on the road and still need 500-600m to Camiño, but it definitely deserves to come here for a night. It is hosted by a family, owners are friendly and very warm people. They provide swimming pool which is perfect thing after one day walking. Also the food was amazing. The food service is from 7:00 am till 9:00 pm, you can also get breakfast at here before next day walking. Cannot believe just need 20 euro to get it. 🥰

This Albergue/Hotel is a little bit off the Camino but we were attracted by the swimming pool. We end up didn’t use the pool since it got quite cold in the evening after we arrived. Checkin was super smooth however I wouldn’t say the host/hostess were ‘warm’. Paid over USD$100 for our room and it was a semi-basement with one window facing the road. The air doesn’t feel fresh in this room. Bathroom looks modern but light is dim inside. The cleaning can be more thorough since I could see dust under the bed and the chair in the room. What brings down the service to a two stars for this review is the server in the restaurant: we sat down at 6:59pm and the server was not attentive and doesn’t speak more than two words of English. Her manner and efficiency are way below par- literally no service! Our food arrived around 8pm. Would not recommend to my family and friends who are going to walk the Camino

Two great things about this place- the manager made me a nice breakfast to take with me as I was leaving early for the Camino and they called a wonderful masseuse who did a Great job. Great service and very peaceful location in the countryside.

PILGRIMS BEWARE If you are on holiday with lots of money to spend, I am sure you will receive lovely treatment here. I imagine the hotel rooms are nice and I’m told that the food is good (I wouldn’t know. I ended up skipping both dinner last night and breakfast today because I couldn’t stand being treated so rudely and giving these people more of my money). BUT if you are just a simple pilgrim looking to book a bed in the “albergue,” I cannot recommend this place. If you choose to stay here, just know that you might be treated like garbage. When we arrived the staff was available enough to take our money, give us a stamp, and point in the direction of the albergue. Beyond that, they had no time and no kindness for us because they were too busy serving the families on holiday who arrived in a private bus coach and were staying in the more expensive rooms. But for us pilgrims: No towels. No soap in the bathrooms. No information about the WiFi. When I tried asking about laundry I was treated despicably (so I never ended up doing laundry). No one offered us food or water or even told us what time food would be available, and I didn’t even want to ask, so I went without dinner and breakfast because I didn’t want to be treated terribly again. Many of the lockers in the albergue don’t actually lock. There was no napping, not just because of the incredible amount of flies, but also because of the children screaming right outside; the kids also came into the albergue and were rustling around and making noise banging on things until a pilgrim told them to stop. For a while the temperature in the albergue felt nice, UNTIL the owner came inside and started yelling about the windows and the door being open. After those were shut, it got pretty warm and stayed that way. The best thing about this place was leaving. After leaving, I have now noticed that I am covered in bug bites which were not on my body before we stayed at this location. I have also included a picture of these as well, though I fully expect the owner to leave some snarky comment calling me stupid and/or a liar, based on the way she has responded to other individuals who leave reviews detailing their terrible experiences. Shameful. Absolutely shameful behavior. I have also included a picture of my pilgrim credencial so you can see that yes, my husband and I did actually stay at this location. I will be praying for this entire family. Pilgrims beware, and buen camino! Edit: As expected, a snarky comment has arrived from the owner. I’ve included the screenshot here. If I could give zero stars, I would.
