Service: The waitress was incredibly rude, impatient and in a bad mood. She didn’t give us a menu. Since we were with Santiagoways the food was prepaid for, so she simply told us a couple of things from the menu to chose from. I had to translate to my friends and while we were ordering she walked away twice. For the dessert she gave us the choice of pineapple, watermelon and yoghurt. Even though we had seen there were other choices. In other words, she chose the cheapest from the menu. Even though we had ordered vegetarian (we were with Santiago ways), she only offered main dishes with meat, and I had to suggest the tortilla espanola. At the end she put on the radio, which sometimes had people talking and we asked if we could turn it off. She got aggressive answering that it was not her that made the rules and that it was allowed to be loud until 9 pm. Stingy: not only did she chose only certain things from the menu (cheapest desserts even though they also had Santiago cake and others), she only allowed one drink per person. Even though in other places, which were on the same deal, they had included water, wine and another drink. Food: I had a caldo de gallego. It was ok. Thereafter I had a tortilla española. It was incredibly salty. It was also very oily. The watermelon as a dessert was not ripe. My friend had a crema de vegetales (vegetable cream soup). It was tasteless. Then she also had the tortilla. She asked about the dessert if it was fresh, then the waitress said it was, even though the pineapple ended up being from the can. My other friend had the salad with tuna and egg, which was good. Afterwards she had pechuga, so chicken with fries. It was oversalted as well. She would rate it at most 2/5. Place: the restaurant was dirty with trash on the floor, a trash can right next to my other friend’s chair and cleaning supplies in the eating area as well. Room: no soap to wash your hands. Otherwise the room was ok.
Very kind service, home food, and finally only open place over many kilometers of camino in December. Delicious el polpo and flan de queso.
Received the most unwelcoming and rude treatment of my 6 Caminos so far. Ridiculously overpriced for their terrible service. When I asked the lady if they sold Tortilla, she started yelling at me I should read the menu.
They gave us a bottle of red wine that had been open for a long time, already oxidized and turned sour. When we requested a replacement, they were unwilling and had a very poor attitude. I'm sorry for the Spanish wine producer.
Worst restaurant on the Camino so far. They ignored us for 20 minutes, when we were waiting to place an order. Service was really bad. Often they were looking angry. The food was just acceptable.
