Beautiful kitchen and meeting room. Bedroom has E. Heating system that can use freely. Very kind, wonderful reception.
This Xunta establishment is one of the best run public albergues we've been in yet. There are 26 beds within the dorm, male and female segregated bathrooms, a common area, microwave, small kitchen, and laundry facilities. The women running the show do a fantastic job keeping the place in order and did a wonderful job helping us when we had issues checking in. Surprisingly, this is the only public albergue on the Camino I've encountered without mold in the showers! Keep it up, ladies!
Another municipal hostel in Galicia which means: - open throughout the year (even if it's empty) - 8 euro for a bed including disposable bedsheets - must have credentials - laundry - wash and dry - for just 5 euro - no blankets, but the heating is on, so sleeping bag is enough - a beautiful kitchen that has a fridge, stove, microwave and NO utensils - no cutlery, no cups, no plates, no pots NOTHING (so... What is the point of the kitchen???!!! Unless it's deliberately kept empty so people never use it and it never has to be cleaned. Aha! Now it makes sense) - wifi only works if you have a Spanish phone number - clean with bed-bug proof covers on mattresses and pillows - plenty of hot water Your only eating option is the Bar-Restaurant opposite. No comment on quality...
Fantastic
Two months of accommodation, and I have never seen such a dismal welcome! The person who is supposed to receive us is glued to his phone, unable to spare us a glance. Total contempt. In the kitchen? A joke! Two glasses is all we found. Of course, it may be written in the rules, but there is absolutely nothing to eat nearby. Result: we had to beg from other residents. And what about the showers? No doors! If you like a complete lack of privacy, this is the place for you. I must still mention that the place is clean. If all you need is a shower and a mattress, then this may be the place for you. Don't expect anything else. Pilgrims, go your way.
