Delicious, affordable. Lovely owners, great atmosphere. I will return. Probably the best lunch place on the way from Cabreiro to Sarria.
The people were very sweet. My daughter loved the animals and felt like we were on a farm. It is definitely the most rustic and remote of all Albergues we stayed at. I would recommend staying in the private rooms rather than the shared Albergue. the bathroom in the need updating.
Review for food only. Ate here after the long climb up, and a long line inside. Best orange juice we’ve had so far, and tortilla was huge and very good
I read some reviews here and nearly didn't stay. I would have missed the truly Galician experience of this albergue, its warm welcome and good food which, absolutely is not expensive. I had a huge plate of beef and a large tuna salad plus drinks for 8 euros, for which there is also a menu. The albergue for 6 euros a night is clean and comfortable and pleasantly cool in very hot weather. Yes, the place is rustic with hens and huge cockerels wandering around and there are plenty of flies. The shower has hot water and there is only one. For me, I love the place and the views are worth staying for. Oh, and you can see all the cooking going on because the kitchen window open onto the terrace.
The worst place I've seen so far on the Camino! When he brought me the soup he was holding it so his fingers were actually inside it, Okey even though that's a no go during corona I tried it and it was cold with so much fat in it I couldn't eat it. Then the owner left is dirty towel on our table?! Really this dirty place should get closed!
