After seeing all the negative reviews I was hesitant to stay here but with the Camino so busy we had no other choice. 1. The rooms were not as bad as portrayed on previous reviews. Clean but yes dated. 2. No credit card.. so make sure you have cash. 3. Google maps will take you to door on main street across from bank ATM. Don't go there go around to where red tables/chairs and go into restaurant. 4. The guy may seem unfriendly but I asked him for something special when I ordered food and he accommodated me. 5. Wifi was basically not existent in rooms but worked well in bar.

We had dinner and breakfast here but did not sleep here so only four stars only because we did not see the rooms. We had excellent dinners and breakfasts at very reasonable prices in the friendly comfortable bar. They were very kind and helpful and specially made all the food vegetarian and gluten free for us. Thank you so much. We really wish that we had stayed the night as well.

They lock you into your rooms at night! As one who is very concerned about personal safety I found it very discomforting that there was no safe exit at night in case of emergency! Rooms were okay a little outdated but the beds were nice. Chicken dinner smells very good but I didn't try it. Overall it was an okay albergue except again that I was locked in the second floor of the building after 10 pm. Not cool with me...

The final albergue before Leon situated in the tranquil hilltop village of Arcahueja. It has 20 beds and a lovely shaded terrace cafe bar. A perfect stop for a coffee or beer before undertaking the soulless traipse into the inhospitable Leon suburbs or even staying overnight if you prefer to slip through that city the following morning.

This is the last one settlement before León has an albergue, this is it. It isn't worth to stay here I believe. The staff is not so kind and has a weak English skill. The menu de peregrinos (serviced at 7PM only) is not a huge one and - based on my experience but it's only one of the hundreds of others - it was very bad for me and caused some stomach problems also. The albergue part of the building is a little crowdy. But the albergue is a modern one, renovated building. The hardware is OK but the software (staff, operation etc.) could be developed.
