This place doesn't look much from the outside, and the village isn't the prettiest. But this Albergue was amazing, and is a fantastic place to stop. Very basic, but spotlessly clean, comfy partitioned bunks and spacious good showers. There is a fully equipped kitchen, which even has many ingredient's available like olive oil etc, and there is a wonderful little shop next door to buy food to cook. There are also other eating options in the village. The hospitelero Juanjo runs a tight ship, and the Albergue is a credit to him and the village.
Best municipal on my Camino! Stayed mid-June and had a very special/unique experience of being the only soul in addition to the most kind and friendly hospitalero volunteer. Bathrooms were new and kitchen is pretty well renovated too. I had a ~16 bed dorm all to myself, with decently strong wifi to boot. I mentioned that the volunteering hospitalero was most kind, he offered me spare fruits, yogurt, rice and a portion of his own lunch (probably only possible because I was the only one). Municipal is open from 14 to 22. Can strongly recommend this ruta alternativa stop that stayed tranquil and spiritual even during the high season of June.
Honestly one of the best and most comfortable places I've stayed during the Camino. The beds are very comfortable and the temperature is cool due to the breeze throughout the entire bldg. The people who manage the albergay are respectful and courteous of incoming pilgrims. I would recommend staying here during your travels on the Camino. Up the road there is a nice bar and restaurant with excellent service only two min walk away. Buen Camino.
Fantastic, a great host who drove us to the nearest town to get my backpack. Emiliano from Barcelona really tought my heart and I was crying in the car when he spoked about the Camino. Your staying is with a donation, I think it’s a wonderful thing to do and he worked as a volunteer to give back to the Camino.
Very nice place, modern and comfortable. The owners, Maite and her husband, are particularly kind and helpful. I recommend this place!
