I regret not checking the reviews earlier — I can now only agree with the negative ones. The person running this place, who appears to be the manager, cook, and sole staff member, was extremely unprofessional, unfriendly, and lacking in basic courtesy. We arrived around 15:30 and found her drinking wine with three men. She told us she was on a lunch break and needed 15 minutes. However, by 15:45, and even by 16:00, the impromptu wine session was still ongoing. At 16:00 she disappeared completely, and only returned around 16:20, visibly intoxicated and clearly annoyed by our presence. When asked if it was possible to get something to eat, she said she only had salad (€7) or a plate with fried eggs and bacon. As I am vegetarian, I asked if she could replace the bacon with something vegan. She reacted as if the request was a burden. Eventually, we were told to collect the food from the bar window without even a word of courtesy. When it came time to pay, she tried to overcharge me and used vague and inconsistent explanations. She also forgot to add several items (like the ice cream) to the bill, which made the whole process chaotic and untrustworthy. This is, unfortunately, the only place open for food in this area before 19:00 — but if you can, I strongly recommend avoiding it. The manager’s behavior was unacceptable, and if this kind of conduct is frequent, she seriously needs to reconsider her role in hospitality.

We have only stopped for lunch but would not recommend it. The food is reheated and not fresh. The paella is probably the worst paella I have ever eaten, with the consistency of "arroz con leche" instead of paella. There was barely anything left (and we arrived at 13h). I'm guessing they cook for dinner and at lunch they just serve the leftovers from the previous night. But without a doubt the worst thing is the manager. She is really not friendly nor welcoming. She doesn't speak English and just talks super loudly to the guests in Spanish like it is their fault they don't understand her. Doesn't try to make herself understood either. I'm Spanish and in the short period I was there I had to translate to some confused pilgrims about what the lady was saying. She acts super overwhelmed even though the place was pretty much empty when we were there.

We were on our Camino, and it was really cold. All of us who was there in this night was cold. We had burning offens in the other hostels before, but here not even the the heating was turned on. After we asked if we could turn on the heat, because we are cold, the owner was angry and said should put on more clothes..... We had on all of our things.... There was nothing we could have put on more.... She turned on the heat for us. But only for one hour. So we had to sleep in a cold room. The waitress was really friendly. But also a little chaotic. In the shower you cannot set the temperature. There is only a button. So the owner decided one temperature. It doesn't feel comfortable and welcome to me.

Very nice hostel on the camino, nice single room with balcony, everything clean and good value for money. Very small shower, but for one night it is fine. If there only wasn't the rude owner (Colombian lady). She does not make her guest feel welcome at all, if you speak Spanish to her she is a little friendlier, but overall guests seem to be a burden to her. She puts on a grumpy face and cannot be bothered to serve breakfast to less than 5 guests. The pilgrim's menu for 13Euros was fine but the wine was not good (a first in Spain) and dessert was a tub of yoghurt! The only positiv in the service area is her employee Anna-Maria, blonde lady, she speaks German and Spanish, she is so friendly and helpful! I wish the owner could be a bit more like her! she always tried to find solutions and always had a smile!

Owner is extremely rude and unwelcoming. It’s an inconvenience for her to have guests . Despite trying very hard to be pleasant with her she was having none of it ! This is the worst Albergue I have experienced on the Camino and I strongly advise you to AVOID it. We asked for the pilgrim meal and whilst there was a menu posted on the wall ion the night we were there no menu was offered, dinner just thrown down in front of you. My companion who is vegetarian advised that she did not eat meat, this did not go down well and she received two fried eggs and chips for main course, dessert was a pineapple ring from a can , on a plate .. horrendous ! Each person received a small bottle of water with their meal and the icing on the cake was when the owner took the full unopened bottle from my place, when challenged she maintained that it was belonging to a French guest who left the table! After a feisty exchange she gave the bottle of water back , needless to say I felt very uncomfortable after this incident and couldn’t wait to get out of the place. We left promptly at 7am without breakfast . My strong advice is to avoid this place. There are two other Albergues in town I’m just sorry I didn’t stay in one of them
