Avoid.  Booked a private double room and got a dilapidated bunk room with 2 double bunks and one single bed. Door had no lock (or door handles) but holes instead through which anyone could peek through.  One small window which was not easily accessible. No towels or proper sheets provided.  Hot water in shower ran out after less than 3 minutes. No smoke detectors or exit signs in room.

Rustic and colou full in the centre of the village € 8.5 . Great fresh place. Lovely views. Possibility of room for two €26. The great plus. Spacious. Quiet Cool, Clean. No flies.😂 Cooking facilities and Tienda close by for shopping. Practical . Not too big. Just right. So a great place to stay. If you want to cook a simple fresh not greasy meal. No bed bug, I am not sure about how it feel in winter but in September it is great. Thank you. The supermarket 🛒 with every things is 10minutes away down the stairs on the right. At the bottom of the town.

This is the worst lodging experience in my life, a dishonest homestay owner who told the check out time at 9 am on the booking website, but it was actually 8 am. Even though we kept the original booking email and protested to him, he still kicked us out at 8am and even rudely slammed our big backpacks out the door. The Chinese reservation app shows that they have no access control, and the English display page does not tell them that they will lock the door at 9:30 in the evening. If you are late, you will be locked out by him. The double room is in the basement, only chairs and two bunk beds, and there are a lot of flies in it. The emotional ups and downs of the homestay owner made me feel fear, and even fear that I might be subjected to violence.

PLEASE DO NOT STAY IN THIS ALBERGUE My partner (Taiwanese) and I (Spanish) have been walking Camino de Santiago from France. Our experience staying in Albergues has not been good, so our expectations were very low, but Juanjo, the owner of Albergue Casa Nostra in Castrojeriz, managed to take it to the next level. We booked and paid online for 2 nights in a private room. Conditions on our booking were 9 am check out time and no curfew at night. The owner told us with an aggressive attitude that check out time was 8 am and even though we had booked 2 nights we had to leave our room by 8 am and wait outside until midday. He also said he would be closing the door at 9:30 pm, if we were not there by that time we would have to sleep in the street. I argued those conditions were not on our booking. He said we could leave if we didn't agree but he would not reimburse our money. He lives in the Albergue so I asked him to please open the door for us after 9:30 pm, we wanted to have dinner outside and watch a football game that was on TV. He refused. He also refused to let us stay in the room in the morning after our 1st night We found alternative accommodation for our 2nd night but didn't get our money back. In the morning he knocked on our door at 7:40 asking us to leave. I told him he was treating us like cows and that I would take actions to make this known. He then became very aggressive, grabbed my backpack and threw it outside. He started insulting me. He said "hace tiempo que no se me va la olla y estoy a punto" which means he was about to lose his mind and become violent. I thought he was going to jump on me. My partner was getting extremely anxious. We left while he kept shouting PLEASE DO NOT STAY IN THIS ALBERGUE The owner is aggressive, lacks humanity and empathy. He is not fit to run an Albergue that should treat pilgrims with respect and make them feel at home.
