Last night, I stayed at a really unique Albergue. The owner shared the fascinating history of the house and gave us a tour of the old cellar! We even got to taste some of his homemade wine. Such a memorable experience! 🍷

Best stay of my Camino so far! Ignore the other reviews about the dinner not being filling enough - I found it quite substantial and it tasted great. The wine and sangria were also delicious. What really makes the experience, though, is the tour of the wine cellar. The host is an incredibly talented presenter and somehow had everyone cracking up laughing in four different languages at once! The cellar itself is really cool - both aesthetically and historically - along with the rest of the albergue. In any tourist city you’d be spending at least €15 just to be shown around the place without all the additional hospitality that comes with a place to spend the night. I can’t recommend this place enough.

What an amazing experience this was. The rooms are good, not too many people in one place, normal showers and a nice place outside to relax after your walk. The communal dinner is recommended as you get a three course dinner made by a lovely lady. It also includes red wine and sangria! Afterwards, you get an incredible tour through the wine cellar, and the host shows you how it was used back in the days to defend from intruders. Overall a must visit if you are on your path to Santiago!

Unfortunately the pool isn't a pool but you can at least put your feet in it. The grounds and the garden are nice. There is no washing machine. Unfortunately you can't use the kitchen either. You have to be at the hostel by 9:30 p.m. and then the doors are closed. What is really unacceptable is that the light in the dormitory is turned off at 9:15 p.m. It is turned on at 6:15 a.m. so that everyone has to get up and you feel like you're in prison. If you get up early it's fine, but if you want to sleep until 7 after a long day you'd be better off looking for another hostel.
