We chose this site as a result of the reviews and we weren't let down. We only stayed one night as traveling to meet friends. We were met by the owners who were very friendly and even with the language barrier keen to engage. The site is rustic, but that's how we like it. Very clean toilets and amazing showers. The site is placed very close to the town - just a short walk away. The area is full if history with a ruin on top of a hill above the town. A very beatific place abd a real shame we could not explore more. Would definitely visit again.

If you want the lamb you have to order it in the morning for that evening, we arrived in the afternoon which was too late to order it. The sites are tight and there were lots of weeds. Facilities were clean but basic. The receptionist was very kind and the campsite is right next to a lovely town. Also there were dead trees on some of the sites and a big gust of wind blew a big branch off one of them and nearly hit us on the head.

This place is great. Besides campsites they also have a few private rooms and four 2-bedroom bungalows up in the hillside. The bungalows have kitchens. The owners of the property are beyond nice. They will bend over backward to help you in any way they can. My wife needed medical care so Roberto took us to the clinic in town, then waited while we also went to the pharmacy, grocery, and ATM. BTW, they do a leg of lamb roasted over an open wood fire. It's a 2-person meal. If they offer it the night you are here, do it. The lamb is the best I have ever eaten!

Simple straightforward site with a big heart! Known amongst fellow campers affectionately as 'the lamb site' you are in for a treat if you are lucky enough to enjoy their traditional lamb dish cooked long and slow with rosemary and garlic and carved with a flourish at your table. You will not leave the restaurant hungry. You need to order this well ahead but worth it! The toilet block is a little tired but plenty of facilities hot water and very clean. Modern washing machine and tumble dryer. The staff are always very welcoming and speak good English. The ' boss' speaks mainly Spanish loves dogs and has made us feel so welcome every time we have visited. Bird life in abundance around pleasant pitches suitable for tents, caravans or large motorhomes ( although some are quite narrow so choose with care). Fabulous walks include along the Camino de Santiago climbing up to the atmospheric Castillo or just meandering through the old town which is very interesting and very 'Knights Templar'

Stayed here several times and it's location, food and local bird watching is one of the best in Spain. I can see reports that it is closed. I'm really saddened to read this. Hoping it reopens again
