This place was just perfect in every way and a wonderful stop on the Camino Francais route. Spotlessly clean, beautiful, thoughtful friendly staff, gorgeous gardens and surroundings and great access to the town- although we didn’t want to leave. It was peaceful relaxing and perfect, they catered well for my coeliac disease and the breakfast was the best I’ve had in Spain. I can’t recommend this place enough.
Beautiful stay in converted convent. So peaceful & quiet. Felt we had the whole place to ourselves. Great honesty/mini bar in reception & lovely homely lounge area too. We ate in hotel that evening which was probably a little on the expensive side but suited our needs. We had twin beds w High was fine but probably a little on the small side; room otherwise beautiful & lovely linens, towels & bathroom products
An absolute tranquil resort surrounded by lavender plants and adjoining a quaint town steeped in charm. From a simple yet scrumptious dinner, to the relaxing spa, the inviting patio and picturesque outdoor spaces, this resort was a real charmer that we cannot recommend enough.
Hotel Quinta San Francisco is really a special place to have the chance to stay. We arrived as a family of four; 2 adults, a baby and a 4 year old. It was the perfect stop on our journey back up through Northern Spain to Santander. The calmness I felt after a day of travel there. The beauty of the place, the smell of lavender, the kindness of the staff. There is an integrity here, a balance of old and new. I really can't wait to return.
Beautiful hotel with pristine grounds, but it is simply not equipped for summer temperatures. None of the rooms have air conditioning. I was extremely uncomfortable for the two days I spent there. It was so unbearably hot that we had to look for places to stay cool outside of the hotel. This is simply unacceptable for a hotel of this high standard and price. I would actively discourage anyone from staying during the months of June to August, particularly if you have respiratory problems. I was really looking forward to staying at this hotel, especially based on the many positive reviews, but they are simply not being honest about some of the very real flaws that have the potential to mar the experience.
