The owner is very kind, but the albergue part is pretty old, and cold (literally). The dinner was great ( from 6 to 7), and the bar/restaurant part close at 9.

Booked a double room on the top floor and could not sleep due to the heat. It felt like a sauna. Avoid them in the summer at all cost!! You will have sleepless night. The room needs a fan at least

While value seemed good (35 euros for a single room), and staff certainly make efforts to serve and help, I was surprised that the room they assigned me was not in the hostel itself, but few houses down (noting that a person I walked with got a room in the hostel just before me). What they offered me was not "inspiring" at all, to say the least, especially considering that there isn't much to do in that hamlet. I asked to be reimbursed, which they did immediately, so that's fair. Restaurant was quite busy (we were around 6pm), so staff - essentially one waitress and one cook - definitely had too much on their plate. I didn't try the food, but based on the attendance it seemed popular. So I don't know, mixed feelings let's say. I know this is pilgrimage, and prices are not high, so my expectations are quite proportional and low, however the fact that I was not told that the accomodation isn't where it seemed it would be, was disappointing. I should indicate that the waitress spoke only limited English (and my Spanish is elementary), so that may not have helped. Gracias and Buon Camino 😊

Worth to take a little break in this bar before walking to next village. Menu del dia starts from 1:30pm so we couldn’t get it. Instead, we took jamon y queso bacadillo, chocolate cake, natural orange juice and cafe con leche. Food was good. They have clean bathroom too.

Vegan burger was delicious. Caña was big. Service was fast and good enough (not super duper friendly but gracious, especially since I was very sweaty and probably stinky as well 😅). I only ate at the restaurant and didn't stay the night, was just passing through. Thanks for the food and drink on my way to Ponferrada!
