Would definitely recommend staying here and not in the crowded Portomarin. The hospitality of the lady and the skills of the chef are another level! The stone house gives a cozy home feeling.
Second stay here. First in Sept 2017 and again this April. One of my favorite Albergues. Superb food, spotless rooms and bathrooms. The Hostess is extremely kind and very customer focused. The chef's ability to turn out large quantities of delicious food is amazing.
Perfect place to stay and eat. We passed this beautiful place on the Camino and decided to stay. Had a double room with shared bathroom for € 35. The room was cute and clean and the shared bathroom was really clean as well. The food was superb! One of the best meals on the entire Camino. Service was great. I can highly recommend staying here.
This place deserves 5 stars just for the food alone. Pilgrim prices but the chef in the kitchen produced a meals to grace any restaurant. The young woman helping out seemed to be everywhere and worked her socks off all day long. The dorms are very comfortable and well organised. Sturdy bunks, blankets, lots of plug points actually accessible to all. Showers were powerful and hot. The bar area is social and there is an indoor seating area with TV. Only downside were the mattresses on the bed. I can sleep on a park bench but something about these did not suit. Strange.
For 10 Euros for the menu of the day I was treated the best on the Camino so far. Great quality. The albergue although not the cheapest, was great too. Pleasant room, big quiet beds. One flaw was the Wi-Fi, I couldn't use it, but perhaps somehow I didn't get the password right. The owner was very nice.
