4 / 5 There are free blankets. It's a very cozy place in winter, with a fireplace. The dinner is hearty and vegan-friendly. If you want. You feel right at home. Inma, the albeguist, becomes very familiar to the pilgrims. Very affordable prices for good quality.
5 / 5 I was worried after reading the reviews, but staying here was a wonderful experience. The owners were friendly and welcoming. Dinner was also excellent. Everyone in our group had a wonderful time.
1 / 5 Worst albergue on the way, the host was very unfriendly, arrogant, and most important very greedy, charging 14 euros for plain lentils for dinner, mattrase horrible, dirty, shower disaster, organising who sleeps where by her personal preferences AVOID Place if possible. It's worth to walk further to hontanas village or anywhere else!!!
1 / 5 First of all, I really liked the kitchen and the stove at this albergue, and I sincerely appreciated the hostess allowing us to use them. However, I couldn’t understand why we were specifically told to finish cooking dinner before 4 p.m. and not use the kitchen afterward, while we later saw other guests continuing to use it without issue. We followed the instructions and finished our cooking before 4 as requested.
Secondly, I did not take a long shower on purpose. The water pressure on the second floor was very low, and the water was extremely hot, making it impossible to shower properly. I waited in the bathroom for a while until the water became usable, and then I quickly finished my shower. At that moment, you came and told me showers should only last five minutes. This felt unreasonable and confusing, especially since I noticed you didn’t say the same thing to other guests.
Lastly, you emphasized the importance of keeping the kitchen clean, and we made sure to wash all the pots and dishes we used. However, there were some dirty items clearly left by others, yet you asked us to clean them instead of asking the people who actually made the mess to take responsibility.
I’m not sure if you had some kind of prejudice against us. I’ve always respected that this is your house and did my best to follow your rules. But I truly don’t understand why these rules seemed to apply only to us and not to others. It made me feel that we were not being treated equally or fairly.
I understand that you may see my comments as disrespectful, but if you don’t want others to misunderstand you or form a negative impression, I genuinely hope you can treat all guests more equally in the future. I believe most people have a good experience here, and I do appreciate the accommodation you provided—it’s just unfortunate that we encountered a few unpleasant situations during our stay.
1 / 5 This is my least favorite albergue so far during my Camino. First they didn’t give sheets. They said it was for environmental reasons but not sure I believe them. They also said they disinfect the plastic mattresses daily but it’s still kinda gross/uncomfortable even with a sleeping bag. It was supposed to be 10€ but was 15€ which was kinda pricy given the quality. Half of the showers are locked. The woman running it seems to be constantly monitoring you, including how long you shower for. No hot water if you want to shower in the morning. She also told me (did not ask, but told) that I needed to move beds like 2 hours after we arrived. I don’t mind moving so an older gentleman can have a bottom bunk, my issue was with the woman’s attitude. Someone who speaks better Spanish than me tried to advocate for me, and the host went on and on how we’re not real pilgrims, we’re tourists. Overall left quite a bad taste in my mouth. I’ve been staying at municipal albergues and never had a problem until this one. Would stay elsewhere if possible.
