La Casa del Abuelo is a simple hostel in Hornillos del Camino that offers both dormitory accommodations and private rooms. The room we were given was basic and acceptably clean but had the serious fault of not having hot water and therefore we have been hugely disappointed. A basic breakfast was provided.
Amazing little cozy hotel. The side that houses private rooms with private bathroom is completely renovated, clean, modern with the thermostat and very good shower. They have a bar and restaurant on the property. Dinner was great and tasty - black rice seafood paella. Place is quiet, they offer breakfast and have a refrigerator and coffee and teapot. Very highly recommend.
Best food and Sangria I had during the Camino. The shared room and bathroom are clean. Didn't provide keys for the door or room because the town is pretty small and safe. For bed and food, cash only.
Breakfast is included , It seemed expensive but realizing that with breakfast Price/value ratio was good , Kitchen is available for use but there is no grocery store in town ( only a small store selling bocadillos,few snacks and drinks )
Me and my friend were doing the Camino and all the hostels we're full and we were forced to stay here and we were upset because it was 27.5 Euro a person but the rooms were great. Staff was friendly although they didn't speak great English. The food at the bar was delicious and I felt very cozy.
