5/5 star. The property is perfectly situated to make the climb feel less stressful being a break in between. All facilities were clean and well maintained. Warm showers after a cold walk in the mountain and even heating during the night so everyone is comfortable on those very cold nights. Both Kurt and Jo are fantastic hospitaleros and so kind! I injured my foot quite bad meaning I was unable to finish my climb and need a couple of days rest. Both Kurt and Jo offered for me to stay a little longer or help me get to the bus station when needed. This place is an absolute gem and I am very glad I stopped here along the way!
Lovely stop on your Camino. I felt like in heaven when they offered me longer 2,2m bed (I am almost two meters). They don't offer dinner but there is a bar nearby that has menu until 21:30.
For me, this is one of the most beautiful albergues on the entire Camino. I lost my heart to this place 20 years ago when I passed by for the first time. And I always like to come back. Every year, actually :-) Either as pilgrim or as hospitalero (which is why I'm not so objective).
A really lovely experience in this German-run albergue. The hospitaleras were so friendly and welcoming and the place was very well run. It's a beautiful building with a lovely church attached and it was super clean, comfy and had all you needed. Definitely one of the best places I have stayed at on the Camino in the last month. Clean dormitory and bathroom (great hot showers), friendly and very helpful volunteers, decent kitchen (with donativo simple breakfast). We used the washing and dryer for laundry, 4euros each. However, the dryer is rather old and not functioning properly… so most of our clothes were still wet despite of drying for 45min +. There’s a lack of exhaust hood in the kitchen, and unfortunately someone was cooking sth rather strong and filled the kitchen/dinning area with strong smell and smoke.
