Great place to stay in Lavacolla as a Pilgrim on the way to Santiago de Compostela! Private, fair price, great facilities, fully equipped kitchen, clean and spacious dorms, kind hosts and staff, perfect bathrooms, amazing location!
Check-in was easy and straightforward. The rooms are okay, we were placed in a small upstairs room (room 6) which was quite cosy. It would be fine if you’re with friends, but it felt a bit tight since we didn’t know two of the men sharing the space. Facilities are limited only 2 toilets and 3 showers for more than 15 people, which made mornings a bit hectic. I waited over 30 minutes to go to the toilet. On the positive side, the garden is lovely spacious and a great place to relax in the sun. There’s also a very convenient hand-washing station for clothes. Location is great too, easy to find just off the Camino.
One of the best albergues! Kind of felt like a municipal albergue because they have everything a pilgrim needs. The best was everything is on one floor so no need to go up and down stairs. Kitchen was so big and the spacious laundry area was perfect. Also they have clothes pins and soap ! Each bedside also has outlets.
Clean, tidy, spacious and very nice area and surroundings. Highly recommended for washing up and resting before Santiago.
