Nice and clean room, comfortable bed, close to the airport. People can get on 6A line bus( via Lavacolla ) and get off in less than 5 minutes to reach the hotel. The ground floor attached to a restaurant which offers pizza and basic dishes, menu of the day is €14, satisfying taste and volume.

I recently stayed at your hotel, Garcas Hotel, in Santiago de Compostela for a two-day conference, and I wanted to share my feedback regarding my experience. On a positive note, I found my room to be clean and comfortable after the first day, which I appreciated. However, I was very upset to discover that when I returned to my room, my personal belongings, including my clothes, were missing. Since I was staying for two nights, it was quite alarming to find that my items had been removed without any explanation. When I raised the issue with the receptionist, I was told that the cleaning staff "may have" taken my things by mistake. This response left me quite disappointed and concerned about the security of personal belongings in your hotel. I understand that mistakes happen, but I believe the response should have been more proactive and reassuring, rather than speculative. I hope you can address this issue, as the experience left a negative impact on my stay, despite the otherwise pleasant aspects of the hotel.

Perfect for walking the Camino. In comparison with expectations of hotels in Ireland, it is basic. So price could not be matched in Ireland.3 course meal x 2 including a full bottle of red wine €28. Clean.Lovely staff. Ideal location, almost on the Camino.

If there was a zero Star option I would select it to review this Hotel. The Receptionist was possibly the rudest man that I have ever met. He dislikes his job immensely and appears to be completely fed up with Pilgrims doing the Camino. The rooms are dated and dirty ,a hostel would be a much better option. The bed was like a brick and the bathroom had the strangest , smallest bath tub I've ever seen. We were staying as part of a Camino package with Breakfast included. The Breakfast consisted of a piece of toast (1) or a croissant , juice and a coffee, not exactly what is required for a day of walking. Avoid at all costs.

Really convenient for late flights. We arrived at midnight and caught the 6a bus from the airport and it stopped outside the hotel - just 1 euro, a couple of stops. Room was clean and bed comfy. You could hear noise from other rooms - light sleepers beware! It was just a 'bed for the night' for us, on our way to start the Camino. You wouldn't want to base yourself there as Lavancolla has nothing happening. Cafe was ok. We had coffee and they were friendly and coffee was good. Be warned - I'd read a ton of comments about buses to Arzua and Melide stopping outside the hotel. We assumed that meant all of them and booked a Lavancolla - Melide ticket for 9am. The bus we booked (monbus) drove straight past us. We looked online and only some appear to stop - we walked to the Lavancolla stop and waited 2 hours to get another one.
