I walked the Camino francés in September 2025. I stayed in hotels in previous towns so this was the first time i stayed in an Albergue . The service was the same as a 4 star - Unbelievably good. The receptionist/ bar person/ restaurent waitress - 'Daniela' had fantastic customer skills and was so so patient to process all the peregrinos who arrived at the same time ( i was an hour ahead so didnt experience the long wait ) . The hotel was full so rather than go for peregrino dinner , i ate paella at the bar with some Ribera del Duero vinos and had a nice time with a peregrina from Germany. The room was basic but very clean and tidy and the breakfast the following moring was nice ( coffee and tortilla) . The waiter who had been duty the night before served the waiting peregrinos all at the same time at 0730h. I had a very positve experience and I certainly would return again. Thank you Daniela and the staff at the La Morena. For information , my Camino travel partners were @Magichillholidays located in Ireland and it was a good selection on their part to recommend this Albergue / 1 star hotel.
This place has excellent service! They are thinking of all the things a pilgrim needs - foot cream, washing and dryer machines, resting chairs, etc. and their restaurant is lovely. We would like to thank Daniella especially!! She was so helpful and always with a smile ☺️
Loved this stop on our Camino walk. The spaces were welcoming. We relaxed and did stretches in the grass. Nice rooms and shared bathroom. The bar was ok
Very nice Albergue with dorm pods that provide privacy. They provide soap and paper towels. The pods have a USB A port, a regular socket and a light that conveniently turns off in 8 minutes. The food at their restaurant for lunch and dinner was simply excellent and delicious. Lunch was a better deal as it includes wine. The WiFi was slow but functional, which is more than I can say for most of Spain. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. They have a beautiful backyard to relating, as well as a nice family room.
This hostel was by far the worst stop on my pilgrimage. The place was filthy, the showers didn’t work properly, and the staff couldn’t care less about the guests. The beds were uncomfortable, and the noise went on all night. I left earlier than planned just to get away. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else.
