Albergue gone wrong This was by far the worst albergue experience i’ve had on the entire Camino Francés. The place clearly once had potential, it even received good reviews in the past, but something has gone terrible wrong recently. It’s in desperate need of new management. Like other recent reviewers , I can confirm: THERE IS NO HOT WATER. Prepare yourself for an ice-cold shower. Based on the reviews, this has been an issue for weeks, and nothing has been done to fix it. There’s also no management presence. Instead of being welcomed, you’ll only find a phone number taped to the door. The manager actually lives upstairs, yet seems to avoid all contact, it feels as if even they are ashamed of the state of the place. The Albergue itself is poorly cleaned and maintained. Some of the problems we found: • Broken washing machine. • No sink available for washing clothes by hand. •Soap and paper dispensers in the bathroom completely empty. •No heating of air or water. It’s really a shame, because with proper care this albergue could be great. But right now, I strongly recommend pilgrims look elsewhere until there is a serious change in management.

So many potential in this house, just nobody care of this. No heating ( It is november ), washing machine doesn't work, microwave doesn't work, coffee machine doesn't work, the soap holder in the bathroom is empty. The place is nice just neglected.

This place has fallen apart - I suspect the host/owner had not been here in a very long time. It operates like a backcountry shelter with no hot water, no sheets, no soap, no towels, and almost everything is broken. The faucet in the “kitchen” will spray you in the face (cold water only). The host only answers calls from Spanish numbers and never showed up. Walk 3km further to the next place if you can. A woman runs a shop across the street. She is the Saint of Linares. She can arrange a room for you in the next town. There is also a blood stain on the couch (see pic) and bed bugs in room 2. Enjoy?!

Warning that this place is in absolute decline. Very sad as it has potential. Unsafe appliances ( see microwave photo) and no heating whatsoever. It’s broken down apparently. Given the state of repair of everything else I can believe that. This property should be avoided at all cost.

Found some bed bugs here. Sheets were eventually given to us after some people complained there weren’t anything to put on the beds. Strange to have no one for reception for immediate problems and cause a lot of confusion for guests
