We stayed at the Hostal La Numantina while doing the Camino de Santiago. After a long day of walking it was a great spot to spend the night. Ivan was very welcoming and made the check-in process so easy. The rooms are very clean and breakfast was included at a nearby restaurant. The hotel is well located near many bars and restaurants. Best of all, Ivan came through for us when our rental car was unavailable. He was able to secure a driver to take us to Leon. He took the time to make sure we were taken care of. Thank you, Ivan. Much appreciated!

I stayed here for one day during my Camino, just wanting to take a rest from the noise and have some privacy. The room wasn’t perfectly cleaned, and I could smell vomit left by previous visitors. The white towels had dirt stains on them. The room itself is very small and has very low sound isolation. There was an air conditioner, which I didn’t use, but it might be handy for people in summer. The staff speaks English and is kind of friendly. The location is good. If you are a pilgrim, this place might be perfect for you, but if you are on vacation, I don’t recommend it based on the price.

Clean and comfortable. Close to Camino yet in town for easy access to restaurants, farmacia, and grocery store. Quiet in our room despite party on the street, A/C, very hot water. Small toilet space. A bit high priced for basic space but beds were comfortable.

Don't stay here. They are doing the dusty construction making us walk through the plastering work site and did not disclose it's poor condition. Stay somewhere else until this renovation is complete. Now I see from Google map reviews that some other guests alerted this poor situation for months. But when we booked thru 3rd party, we did not see this alert. See how the owner responded and lied about the current renovation condition. Is it acceptable for any of the guests unless it is mentioned in the booking? There was no indication of their renovation in their hotel description during our booking. But he is just trying to get off of the legit criticism. We feel the genuine choice and trust is betrayed by the owner's unprofessional reaction. That shows dishonesty is played in his operation. That is offensive. What good is the elevator when there was no indication outside what floor the hotel was on? See no indication on the buzzer, and, the facade. See the pictures. Seeing is believing. This hostal is not doing all the disclosure for fairness of the guests who chose their hostal.

Stayed here twice during my camino, before and after I went to Bilbao. Awesome location near the major sites and Calle del Laurel (known for its tapas bars). Loved the vibe at the reception area, and the receptionist was very nice and helpful; she even printed my Correos envelope for free. My first room was the perfect size for one person and was nice, bright, and clean; the bathroom was also spotless. The only problem was that the wifi could not be detected from the room. My second stay was better, wifi signal was strong and I was placed in a bigger room. However, it was a weekend so the noise from Calle del Laurel could be heard through the closed windows.
