It was really nice, I got hurt on the stage of the Camino before this and all the employees were super helpful and nice in making sure I was okay and had everything I needed. The kitchen was good and had everything we needed plus some as well as a cozy common space and good blankets provided. Also the showers were super hot and lovely which was perfect to help warm up and relax after a wet windy day walking.

The place isn’t particularly clean. Otherwise, it felt nice and warm, including fine welcome from the hospitaliero.

Other than the location just off the Camino, this wasn’t a great spot to spend the night. The hosts were very nice, but that’s pretty much the only good thing about this albergue. The ladders on the bunk beds were being held on with zip ties. There were flies in our room because of open windows, and I don’t believe the place was locked at night. The whole place was very rundown. I wouldn’t stay there again.

The good: The hosts were nice, and there was hypothetically a communal kitchen available (we didn’t see it or use it, but was told it was there). They offer massages (again, didn’t partake, but was told it’s available) The bad: the rooms weren’t well maintained, everything seemed a bit dirty and run down, there were flies in the room because of open windows with no screens, and there are children who seem to live here and they scream. A lot. All. Day. Long. I felt bad being so affected by it, because I genuinely love kids. But when you just walked 20 miles, coming to a place of rest where rest is impossible was pretty devastating, I won’t lie. To top it off, the WiFi doesn’t work anywhere but in the common spaces. . . Where there are screaming children. It’s a place run by those who have clearly never been pilgrims. 😢 I wish we stayed at the municipal.

For the price (12€) this is a good hostel to stay in. Check in is quick. You are provided with a disposable sheet set. There are some spare blankets for those guests who did not bring them. I was on the ground floor, bathrooms were on the same floor. The guest kitchen is on the 1st floor and well equipped (the town has 2 small supermarkets). The rooms have enough plugs to be shared (although not one at each single bed), but it is sufficient for what you need. Internet does not work in the bedrooms, which is fine. In a shared room this ensures everyone is going to sleep and not being ding dongs looking at their phones until midnight. All in all, very practical at an excellent price point. The staff are very funny! I enjoyed a few games of Rummikub with them and they graciously let me win the first round, but let me have it afterwards. There is an option for more private rooms (price difference) if this is something you need.
