Bunk rooms and showers were above average. Price for the bed was a very typical 15€. I don't understand the complaints in other reviews. The kitchen here was closed on a Sunday and the few restaurants open on Sunday were packed so have a dinner plan. Definitely would stay again.

This is probably the worst Albergue I've stayed in. Purely for the fact it's got no real walls or doors so sound travel is absurdly strong. the room is just completely open to the corridor and right next to the room is the bathroom that also doesn't have real doors. only saloon like swinging doors so you can hear the taps and toilets all night and anyone brushing their teeth. and all of this with ear plugs in. the room is also outrageously hot. there's almost no ventilation. definitely not worth 15. The municipal Albergue is just up the street and only costs 7€. Also there is a minimum card limit of 20€ which is absurd if you show up as an individual and their cost is 15€ and you have no cash. They are basically hamstringing you into buying something extra. There is also no kitchen. Not even a microwave or a kettle. Also in the bathroom they have a soap dispenser with no soap..no towels or hand dryer either. The only reason I even gave this two stars for location is because it's on the Camino route, I had just walked 40km, my first choice was fully occupied and I didn't know about the municipal Albergue until after I'd checked in here. Otherwise I wouldn't have gone near this place.

There was no soap in the male or female bathroom/shower rooms. I asked a worker who said “I left some in there yesterday” and later on there will still no soap. 30 guests each night using the bathroom and not being able to wash their hands. Gross.

Staff working hard, clean Albergue and perfect location but possibly more commercial than some of the smaller Albergues.

The heroes of my Camino. We walked into Mansillas just as the nationwide power outage happened. Our original albergue told us our reservation was canceled so we had nowhere to stay. Albergue El Jardín told us they were staying open and had beds for us so we were not left without a place to sleep. Coming from abroad this day was scary for me, and other pilgrims, but they checked us in calmly and with great kindness. They also kept their restaurant open and served people drinks and whatever foods were possible. Meanwhile they put out solar chargers for us to charge our phones, and worked to get the water running again. I cannot thank them enough for the hospitality they showed us during a difficult time. They embody the true camino spirit.
