Pension Berenguela exceeded all my expectations. Of particular note: - Ruth and Lara on reception who were warm and beyond accommodating with printing, where to eat and generally just joyful - Juan the masseuse who gave me the best massage of my life - The cafe to the left which I think is a Churreria (Churros shop) who gave me the best breakfast *Check in is at Hotel Lux Melide, which is super easy to find and the pension just behind. Lara showed me & the room was immaculate, dark, great aircon. I met the cleaners and they were happy and smiley and working in a pair. Bravo to this place. You guys have it sorted and your staff are wonderful.
Rooms are perfect for a pilgrim stopping by for the night. They are clean, secure, good bedding, great heater, nice hot water shower.
Great place, i book a room with 1 single bed. The receptionist was friendly, there is elevator for you who doesn’t like to take stairs. Location is very strategic as well. However, there is no heater in the room and that time was really cold so i was not really comfortable…
We arrived here late afternoon and were greeted with friendly smiles and a cheerful welcome. We had just cycled about 70km in hot sun and wanted to shower and relax. This place gave us what we wanted.
Do not judge by the initial appeareances. While the entrance is very modest, this remodeled Pensión (small hotel) exceeded expectations with a very simple formula: SERVICE. It is run by family members at a non-stop pace to give you what you need. Do not hesitate to ask for Isabel or Carmen and you will receive a five stars service, because they do it with love for their trade. Soon will start building a new hotel. I wish them the best.
