Excellent location right in the Camino. Wonderful pool and hot tub after a hot day hiking. Spotlessly clean. Super stay. The only downside is that many of the accommodations along the way have plastic mattress and pillow covers. I understand this but I just can’t sleep as I get so hot and stick to them which isn’t helpful when hiking long tiring days. The mattress was also a little sagging in the middle which wasn’t great for my back
Booked individual room with private bath. It’s few steps next to Albergue San Anton where garden and breakfast was open. Pension garden is not open during off season, but very nice room with privacy. Bathroom is bit small, if you are tall male, recommend you to book bigger room or Albergue. Host was kind and very nice outdoor sitting area on Albergue side.
It was a really disappointing experience. The room was right next to reception, and the walls are not soundproofed. You can hear everyone coming in to check in, and hear the cleaner ruffle a plastic bag. The cleaner unlocked the door and walked into the room while I was in bed. That is unacceptable! They also say that the breakfast is until 10am, but if you come after 9am, you don't even get served a coffee.
This is a very nice Pension. It even has a pool and a small onsite restaurant. The rooms are bright and super clean, as is the modern bathroom. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the hot water, so taking a shower was a big challenge. The warm water lasted one minute and then slowed to a cool trickle. I reported the issue, but they were unable to fix it. I talked to another pilgrim in another room; they had the same problem. So before you check into this otherwise great Pension, ensure they have addressed their hot water issue
The hotel looks amazing and in general we’ve had a good stay, but there were two problems in our room - which was at the top floor. The first one is that the ceiling was very low, and we got our heads bumped into it pretty bad (twice). The second one is that we could hear noises from outside.
