Tucked inside the bones of an old home that still whispers stories from centuries past, this little albergue offers the kind of understated charm that’s hard to find on the modern Camino. It’s not flashy. No frills. But it’s clean, honest, and comfortable—like staying in your quiet uncle’s house who’s seen the world and decided to just chill. Felix, the owner, isn’t in-your-face hospitable—he’s cooler than that. He’s there if you need him, and if you don’t, he won’t hover. Ask and you’ll receive—things might be tucked away, but they’re there. The kitchen gets the job done with a microwave, a kettle (which really wants to retire), and space to prep something simple. No plush lounges here, just a kitchen table and a front entry bench where boots thump and Camino tales spill out over a glass of wine. Disposable sheets, no towels, but hand soap was there—which says a lot about care over flash. And here’s the kicker: at 6:30 a.m., Felix plays music to stir the soul and the soles. No alarms needed. It's a gentle but determined push back onto the Way. This isn’t a party stop, it’s a rest-for-the-weary kind of place with a quiet Camino spirit humming underneath the floorboards. Four stars because it knows what it is and doesn’t pretend to be more—and that’s kind of perfect.

Great cute little albergue on the way out of town. Booked by email. Average bunkrooms (7 in our room) but a nice bathroom. Clean and simple. Felix the proprietor doesn't speak English but is a kind, friendly, and funny guy. Simple breakfast on offer. Overall, very good value. We would return.

The worst smelling hostel I’ve ever stayed in, a foul smell that seemed to be covered up by bleach and cleaning products. The owner was extremely rude, and yelled at me because I was 30 minutes late checking out ( I was up all night because of how loud my roommate snored). It was a cheap hostel but I would have paid double to not deal with the rudeness of the owner, do not stay here it is absolutely not worth the cheap price.

This place is so cute and cozy, it feels like home. Felix is a great host and the breakfast was sooo good!!! One of my favorite albergues for sure.

I do not know here to start.... We were walking all day with my mum. We were trying to get to albergue municipal in Nájera (that one was closed for winter). So we went to Las Peñas.... Now I am so happy that Albergue Municipal was closed because we found heaven on earth. From the first moment to the last... Felix and his family made us feel like it was our home as well.... Just to tell you, few days ago I was traveling through Madrid and I was trying to treat my mum with luxurious hotel in the centre of Madrid.... I can tell, Las Peñas was way better in every aspect than our hotel in hotel in Madrid.... Hi Felix, thank you for your amazing job and the love you are giving all the pilgrims. All the best to you and your family.
