Showers don't have any curtains; beds are so close to each other that you can not move. It is on top of the mountain, and somehow nobody thought that it would be cold.
A good albergue, managed by the Xunta de Galicia (regional government). For this reason it is very similar to other ones that are managed by the same organization, with a modern structure and services, but also with a few limitations, such as the fact that the common kitchen is wide and comfortable but lacking crockery and cutlery. The dormitories are large, with many beds, which is not an excellent thing in itself, but they are quite comfortable anyway. Another typical feature, that recurs in the Xunta-managed albergues is a personal lamp and USB port (typically used for charging a cellular phone), available at every bed. Be advised that they do not accept reservations, so that one needs to arrive quite early and then typically wait in a queue to be accommodated. With the bad weather that is quite common in the region, this is equivalent to having to queue in the rain. In my case, for example, I got a bad cold due to this. The service is generally good and the people are kind.
Simple, big albergue. Wifi didn’t work for me and there wasn’t much of a socializing / sitting space. There is a kitchen but it does not have many pots and pans. Large bathroom, but no shower curtains for privacy.
BE CAREFUL: CASH ROBERY!!! Various people have been robbed in the night from the 28th to the 29th of July. Same thing happened the night before.
Worst albergue I stayed in the Camino. Overcrowded rooms- approx 90/100people in our room. Barely fits a bag between bunk beds. No bed linen/ duvets available. . Showers with no privacy, just a couple of them available too, bad smell too. 8€/person which I still think its expensive for what they provide. The only positive things are: the woman at reception, quite friendly and that they have washing machine and drier for around 6€. For a couple more of euros you should be able to book something better elsewhere, and able to rest for a steep walk the following day.
