Like a few of the reviews here, let me echo how rude the staff were. Well, the main guy at the bar, possibly the owner. Doesn’t have any modicum of hospitality and service. It’s as if they dislike having guests I guess part of the reason is they are overwhelmed with so many people. Their place (and resto and shop) is right at the center of town. I stayed in Casa Carolo six years ago and that was certainly a better place. If you can, avoid this place
Loved this place Very kind owner and staff. The food was great! This hotel is very clean and we had a wood fire in the restaurant that was absolutely beautiful. Stone walls and nice architecture. A must stop before the long hike up to O Cerbreiro
We arrived here after a short but strenuous walk up the hill on the camino, and the place was very busy with several tour buses all at once. However, the staff were very good, had smiles on there faces and got us checked in much earlier than normal. Very rustic rooms, great service and great food for lunch, dinner and breakfast!
We stayed during our Camino. Very busy location and hotel. Staff were a bit stressed and frustrated with the amount of people. Beds a little uncomfortable. Our bathroom window opened out to where a lot of people sit and drink so we little privacy 😂.Pilgrim menu was great and tasty. The restaurant got very busy and could see a lot of people had to wait a long time (suggest to go before 7pm) breakfast is very basic.
Not very friendly...actually extremely rude. Rooms are musty and very stuffy and was asked not to open the window because they sprayed something. Food was gross and bathroom are not clean or well maintained. Stay and eat elsewhere...these people are very unwelcoming. One of the worst experience so far. I believe they treat you badly and don't really care what you think, since the majority of their business comes from pilgrims that pass through for one night. So they don't care for their guests or have any interest in making them welcomed, because they will never see them again.
