Venta Celta

While the hotel is in a good location for pilgrims after a very hard day, I cannot recommend it. The staff seemed very unwelcoming and I was told the room would not be ready until 3pm. The rooms are cold, damp, and nothing is provided except worn out towels and bedding. The heat was off and my friend’s room had a leak, with water running down the wall. No pilgrim meal is offered, though the food is ok. Service is unfriendly. Don’t stay here.

Awesome food and excellent service provided by Norma, Beta and the chef Camilo. We felt like we were welcomed and as if we were home eating a nice meal. Definitely try this traditional And unique restaurant.

The hotel room was cold and damp. The manager said the heat would go on at 8 pm. I don’t think it ever came on. A shower door panel was missing, resulting in water going everywhere. The pipe going to the shower head was detached from the wall. Several of the lights in the room did not work. I cannot recommend staying at this property. The location is good. The restaurant was fine (but crowded; locals were waited on as they came in, even though pilgrims may have been in line before them).

I only ate at the restaurant. I didn’t stay at their lodgings. The food was very good. The burger was nice with lots of delicious toppings. I ended up coming back after the Pilgrim’s Mass for a light dinner and it was tasty. The staff was friendly and even gave us a sample of the soup to se sure we liked it before we ordered.

Thoroughly enjoyed it stay at Venta Celta. The rooms were clean and tidy. Bar/ restaurant was everything a pilgrim could desire. Excellent local food and drinks. Menu in several different languages. Friendly staff. All round excellent experience
