The Church of San Juan Bautista, built in the 16th century, is one of the main historical landmarks in Orbaneja Riopico. The church features a beautiful Renaissance altarpiece and a baptismal font from the 12th century, both of which reflect the village's rich history and connection to the Camino de Santiago.
Route notes: Burgos Variant: The main route into Burgos runs through an industrial estate and is quite dreary. After Orbaneja Riopico, you can path left around the airfield and along the river, eventually reconnecting into the centre of Burgos.
