Casa Rural Fortaleza

Nicely restored country property outside Burgos on the camino. Suitable for a large group. Full rental of house for entire weekend may be obligatory.

Accommodation was ok but a lot of communication about contacting her husband to pick up a key. Initally she asked me to make contact when I arrived then she wanted me to ring 2 hrs before I arrived. We expected to be staying in the hosts home but there was nobody else in the house apart from ourselves. Wifi wasnt working & nobody to explain how to connect. BBQ advertised but we could not find it. A less than satisfactory experience. Not good value for money in my opinion.

The house is wonderful. All the rooms are very spacious and have en-suite bathrooms, very clean and very comfortable. We were 6 adults and 4 children and felt very comfortable. Maria del Pilar and her husband were very kind, welcoming us and giving us tons of tips for exploring the city and province of Burgos. Wonderful. The town is very small, but the constant atmosphere of pilgrims passing by is very special. The bar is very close to the house and is a great place to have a drink or even a snack in peace. A highly recommended stay!

Spending Christmas in this spectacular house. It's cozy and warm, especially on these cold winter days. Well equipped for a holiday getaway. This is our second time here, and we'll definitely be back.

If we could, we'd give it a 15. They met our expectations and more. The house is in perfect condition, fully equipped in the kitchen, bathrooms, and picnic area. The rooms are excellent. The mattresses are fantastic. The owners couldn't have been better; they even welcomed us with a tray of fried milk... which flew by. Ideal for groups visiting Burgos or for families with something to celebrate... Better than a hotel. We will definitely recommend it!
