Really beautiful room and bathroom, very clean and comfortable. Free coffee machine in reception, able to sit on deckchairs in the sun Dinner round the corner was perfectly adequate Great breakfast self serve buffet with hot and cold food. Lovely staff throughout Would highly recommend

Checking in was easy and done quickly. The room was very cosy, even though it was right at street level - we did not hear any street noise and was able to sleep soundly. The bathroom was spacious and the shower was probably the best on our Camino. The cooling gel for tired legs and feet was probably the most thoughtful thing of our entire our trip. Lunch/dinner was served at a nearby restaurant. The free coffee and tea service was such a welcome feature. And their breakfast, at that time, was the best we had on our Camino. Fresh bread, orange juice, bacon - all self-served in a cosy room. This place is a jewel.

A superb hotel on our Camino. Beautiful rooms, super breakfast. Particularly liked the little touches- sweets and moisturizer for feet on arrival. Highly recommend.

Pensión As Hortas understands what pilgrims need and so as you enter your room you have a cooling cream for the feet (or legs). The shower, with several modes, helps relax muscles. But it is the friendliness and hospitality of the staff that truly stands out! May you continue to be a haven and shelter for tired pilgrims! 5 stars all the way!

Great place to stay! The owners are so kind and warm and helpful. The location is absolutely perfect, just a few steps from El Camino, and the breakfast is delicious! Great way to start the next day. The room was very clean and quiet. Palas de Rei is small and not much was open on Sunday (although it's also before the season of El Camino) but they were great in giving suggestions and directions. Highly recommend booking As Hortas on your way to Santiago! It's a great place to get a good night sleep and breakfast before you continue the journey.
