For starters, this place is like a mile or two from any other restaurants or supermarkets so you’re petty much trapped once you get here. The outside is quite nice and aesthetic but the rooms are bare bones. The mattresses are super thin and the sheets are as cheap as they come. The walls are so thin I kid you not I heard the guy in the next room using the toilet and could barely sleep because anytime someone spoke or coughed - I heard it. We chose this place because we wanted a relaxing night on the Camino but for the price it was so disappointing as we couldn’t sleep due to noises everywhere. The only redeeming quality was at the (overpriced) restaurant, our server Nenson was super attentive and kind. The front desk staff didn’t care about anyone being there. I have NO idea how this place has 4.4 stars on Google maps, but take my advice and don’t waste your time or money.
Nice place to stay during Camino trip, about 20 km from Portomarín, nice rooms and restaurant.
Basic room with thin rubber mattresses and thin walls - feels like people next door are in your room. Looked like this one was in the 'can't be bothered' category because the service was not very welcoming when I arrived. It improved at dinner where the staff were very polite and attentive. Good location right on the Camino walk.
At the beginning everything seems nice and OK. Once in the room, we removed the sheets and saw that the mattress were black of mold ! We informed the receptionist and asked to change the mattress. She refused and told us that if we were not happy we should take our things and leave ! In addition, she retained 30 Euro on the 78 Euro already paid! To avoid absolutely !
We enjoyed the lunch, server was delightful and looked after us all afternoon. We sat outside in the peaceful country side. Once in our room the constant banging of doors was quiet disturbing. Only earplugs got us through the night. Breakfast the next morning was disorganised with a very grumpy waitress handing out dry bread and little else apart from attitude.
