One of my favorite albergues on the Camino so far! From the moment I walked in the door, Maria and Mario treated me like an old friend. They have only been the owners of this place for 4 months, but it is clear they take pride in their work. The albergue also has a restaurant/bar. The food is local, freshly made, and delicious. There is a large terraza out back and a smaller one in the front. There is indoor space to gather and eat as well. Even my friends who were staying other places came here for the food, drink, and great atmosphere. If I am ever back in Palas de Rei, I will return to Buen Camino. Gracias, María y Mario.
Phone call reservation lady said that are completely full, for email reservation l, they confirmed bed reservation. The checkin was late more than 30 minutes. They do not speak English. Pilgrims with injury were accommodated on 3rd floor without any assistance of backpack. Healthy people were on 2nd floor. In the room were 4beds empty. Any of showers door cannot be closed. Kitchen is located between rooms, so you interrupt people when they taking nap, so no place for breakfast, if you are early bird. I ate breakfast on the street in front of Albergue. I think the place is for sale/rent there is not interest for high customer service.
Horrendous service, unprofessional behavior, disrespectful in every sense, poor food, horrible environment, and dirty dishes.
I was lucky and picked steak for my meal which was well cooked and plentiful. Everyone else said their food was indifferent. We had a meal of the day. Normally you get half bottle each. Here it was one glass. A disappointing experience
The accommodation was very squashed and to reach the dinning room area we had to walk through other people's rooms. The washing line was through the window. Bathrooms were unisex and super small: no room to place your items anywhere while brushing your teeth.
