If I wanted a sauna would have gone to Helsinki. Upstairs rooms extremely hot and dryer is located just outside bunkspace and vented inside - guess what that means? Good internet and confortable beds though. Would highly Recommend if they fix the dryer issue and bring in a fan. Staff very friendly and welcoming.
Day 31 on our Camino pilgrimage. Stayed in many hotels and Albergues. Albergue Buen Camino in Palas de Rei is by far our best choice on the trip. Staff is welcoming and friendly. Food is delicious and expertly prepared. Beds are not the usual jailhouse steel but warm wood and sturdy. Thank you for being an oasis during this grueling test.

One of my favorite albergues on the Camino so far! From the moment I walked in the door, Maria and Mario treated me like an old friend. They have only been the owners of this place for 4 months, but it is clear they take pride in their work. The albergue also has a restaurant/bar. The food is local, freshly made, and delicious. There is a large terraza out back and a smaller one in the front. There is indoor space to gather and eat as well. Even my friends who were staying other places came here for the food, drink, and great atmosphere. If I am ever back in Palas de Rei, I will return to Buen Camino. Gracias, María y Mario.
