Great place to stay in Palas del Rei as a Pilgrim on the way to Santiago de Compostela! Private, fair price, great facilities, good kitchen, clean and spacious dorms, kind hosts and staff, perfect bathrooms, amazing location!

The hostel has just opened. The rooms are spacious and very roomy, so you don't feel cramped. The bunk beds are a nice touch, giving you some privacy. The place is really clean and cozy. A great place to stay, whether you're just passing through or on the go. The reception staff are very attentive and friendly.

The best hostel I've stayed at to date while hiking the Camino. Fully equipped kitchen. Dining area, rest area, good bathrooms, spacious rooms, plenty of light, beds with curtains for privacy, bedspreads and blankets provided, there was a drawer under the bed to store your things (you have to bring a lock if you want to lock it, but from my point of view, it's not necessary), there was a refrigerator, vending machines, a washing machine, a dryer, clotheslines, a small terrace that gives you a boost when you arrive, fully refurbished. There was natural light in the rooms, good ventilation. Did I mention everything was very clean? The bed was well-maintained, the mattress and pillow were new or almost new, it smelled good, and even at the exit of the room there was a stool to leave your shoes, which was a great touch. The service was unbeatable, both morning and afternoon, I'm really sad to have left!

The room is clean and provides single-use sheets and pillowcases. The pillows are too low. The toilet is narrow and small. The shower and sink overflow everywhere, making the whole room wet. I hope they can provide mops and other supplies. There is a complete kitchen and kitchenware available. There is only one washing machine, so you need to wait a while.

Light and shadow at this hostel. Towel rental price: €4. At other hostels along the way, it's cost us €1 or we've been given one at no extra cost. The towel is small, gray (you can't see if it's dirty), and of poor quality. The rooms are quite large and can accommodate up to 12 people, so if you have to sleep with snorers (my case), you won't sleep at all. The curtains on the bunk beds provide a lot of privacy. They give you disposable sheets (bottom sheet and pillowcase) and tell you there's a blanket in the drawer for each bunk. That blanket, or at least mine, wasn't clean, washed, or anything; it had suspicious stains that could have been a variety of substances. I find it a bit harsh that they have those blankets and don't even give you a top sheet. Regarding breakfast, this morning I took a muffin out of the vending machine and it got stuck, so I had to put €1 back in. I called the number on the vending machine, and they told me they weren't responsible for any malfunctions, so I lost my euro. As a final note, I'd like to mention the time it takes for the bathroom light to turn off, given that if you're peeing, it turns off and doesn't detect you, leaving you in the dark.
