Absolutely amazing stay at Albergue Castro — one of the best places on the Camino! The rooms are spotless, comfortable, and even have private bathrooms. There’s a laundry room with a dryer and card payment available, which is super convenient. The staff were exceptionally polite and attentive — everything is focused on the guest, and the service is on a whole new level. I also had dinner at their restaurant, and the food was simply divine — delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. A perfect place to rest, eat, and recharge during the Camino. Truly outstanding! 🌟
I've done the Camino Frances twice, and the staff here are the friendliest and most humerous on the whole way. The food is also excellent. Not to be missed!
Best octopus I’ve ever had, very nice service, we even got free shots at the end. Waited only a short time for a great food. Highly recommend!
MOST UNCOMFORTABLE AND WORST MEAL I’VE EVER HAD. The two waiters stood at the bar and STARED at both people at my table for the ENTIRE time we were in the restaurant, making us incredibly and unbearably uncomfortable. We were so on edge, afraid to speak to one another and couldn’t wait to get out of the place. We both said we have never been so uncomfortable in our life due to the staring. My €18 cod dish was cold plain boiled potatoes in oil and cold bland fish, and the veal dish was far, far too salty. Could not recommend less👎👎👎
Dinner, me excellent. Those scallops or vieriarias and the octopus or pulpo plus that veal so soft and tender, I'm speechless. Apart from that the waiters and the owner,Fernando, are the best. Taking care of you and don't let anything at random. Thank you so much for your hospitality.
