4 / 5 I stayed in the capsule bed section in a shared room. The capsule bed was comfortable, but the mattress and pillow covers were made of paper. There was a strong smell of bleach throughout the entire floor. There were only two showers for men and two for women, for almost 30 beds. It was the only hostel in my experience that charged one euro to rent a blanket.
3 / 5 Hostel with a capacity much larger than the others — don’t expect the feel of a small family-run inn or guesthouse, that’s not really the idea here.
From what I saw, it seemed fairly decent. €17 for a bunk bed, I’d say that’s about average.
Good points:
The beds are a bit more spacious than in other places, I’d say.
You can charge your phone directly from the bed, which is extremely practical when walking the Camino.
The living room is very nice and well arranged.
Negative points:
The shower is just awful: everything gets flooded, there’s water everywhere, it’s impossible to close the door while showering, and above all it’s almost impossible to get proper hot water — very frustrating after a long day of walking. There’s also nowhere to put your belongings.
Too many beds crammed into a single dorm and no air conditioning, which makes the air hot and heavy very quickly, even with the windows open. Very hard to sleep with all the body heat.
They don’t provide blankets, soap, or towels — make sure to bring your own.
The kitchen is extremely basic and really lacks essential equipment like cutlery or even just paper towels.
The laundry area is quite dirty and really not maintained, not a good place at all to wash clothes.
I’d say the experience was unfortunately not great. I don’t know if there’s been a change of ownership, but I was quite surprised when I saw the average rating — honestly I was confused. It felt like no one was really in charge of the place. I’ve seen worse, but clearly I’d have a hard time recommending this hostel as a good option. I think for the same price you could definitely find something better.
4 / 5 Amazing stay here. They try to put boys and girls separately as much as possible, and restrooms/ showers are separate too, plus there is a curtain for every bed, and inside, you have 2 plugs and plenty of space. The only thing missing was a blanket but thankfully it wasn't cold that night. Amazing. Thank you very much Zendoira!
1 / 5 It was soo unbelievably filthy. One of the dirtiest albergues of the whole trip. :(
Greasy footprint stains all over the bed walls, dirt. Disgusting bathrooms. Sunch a bummer.
3 / 5 Ordinary albergue.
The rooms and bathrooms are clean.
The design of the spaces is very interesting - Japanese style.
