Albergue Cruceiro

Absolutely loved my stay here. Great kitchen and laundry, hairdryer, and towel are available upon request. Wide and sturdy wooden bunk beds were large enough to fit two and wouldn't budge a bit. Checkout is 8 am, likely to give enough time for cleaning, which shows and pays off. Individual lamps and charging units are super convenient and well placed. Shower stalls are plentiful and water was hot. Staff is ever present and friendly.

A HUGE hostel, but done in a clever way. It's not the usual "dorm style" room layout. Very colorful, unique, and creative. If you don't mind a big hostel, they'll do you right!

Compartments for airing shoes near to bed were effective and hygienic. Bed arrangements with partitions help to make the space cosy and sufficiently private even though there were many beds in one big room. Small pillow was surprisingly comfortable. Well-equipped and mostly clean kitchen and dining area. Many leftover food in the fridge probably because it's the last stop before Santiago.

Beds were comfortable, appreciate the plugs and bed light next to it. Space for "airing" shoes was great. Staff was friendly. Great location only a couple of meters from restaurants and church. Bathrooms needed some small maintenance to avoid all the water from showers flowing to the rest of the floor but nothing serious.

It is very well managed, welcoming, clean and well spaced out for the numbers it sleeps. Great beds and wash facilities and it seemed to attract the quieter pilgrim. You had to vacate your bed at 7.30am which may be problematic for some but this really suited us.
