I have to tell you that this was the best place on my this year's Camino. The hospitalero was so helpful and you can see that he cares. I was sick and he helped me with taxi, doctor, even next day he wrote to me asking if I feel better. The place is nice, a lot of place, kitchen I quite small and you cannot cook there but there are microwaves. Everything was clean. I slept very good so I think beds and quite comfortable. I can recommend this place. Nothing extraordinary but I believe that the people makes places so big thanks to hospitalero 🙂
Albergue REM in O Pino provided a decent stopover during my Camino de Santiago journey. The hostel offers reasonable rates and includes laundry services, which are a welcome convenience for pilgrims. The bunk beds were satisfactory, but the shared bathrooms definitely need improvement in both structure and cleanliness. While this hostel meets basic needs and is fairly priced, a bit more attention to the bathroom facilities would enhance the overall experience significantly.
I wouldn't recommend Allberga. It's dirty everywhere, the mattresses on the beds are dirty, common areas are unclean, and the bathrooms are moldy and not cleaned properly. There's a large room with 50 random beds, and extra beds made from old, makeshift arrangements. The only positive aspect is the person at the reception - friendly and helpful.
This was the worst night on my whole journey. Very stressful. The person on phone when booking didn't inform me about a group of school kids sleeping here. They were loud, of course.. The lights went out only after 23.00. The lights near the toilet are movement triggered. Terrible to sleep nearby. He put me and another pilgrim under the stairs which was a torture. You can hear everything that's going upstairs in the kitchen. Not very clean showers (maybe due to many youngsters staying there that day?) Extremely stressful experience all in all. Not worth the money. It is crucial to be informed about school groups in albergues to make an informed choice.
We stayed here last night and it was honestly our best stay in an Albergue on the Camino. The guy on the desk from Mexico (sorry I never got his name!) was honestly so helpful and had a great friendly vibe which made our whole stay really nice so many thanks to him!
