This place is just awesome. I have a house in this town and I’m so happy it’s open for the pilgrim season now. I’ve been going there for lunch every day this week. Best local cuisine anywhere around. Doña Carmen is the best. She said she will teach me how to cook that stuff over the summer if I help in the kitchen and she won’t even charge me for it. Spaniards have such a funny sense of humor. Believe me when I say it’s the best food. People come there with very large groups to eat- now I know why. Don’t bother trying to eat in Frómista. This place is the best.
It is a simple hotel, run by very friendly people. The pilgrims meal is very low cost but pretty good. The rooms are large, the beds comfy, the bath clean. I really enjoyed my stay - it is very much you get what you pay for.
We stopped here on our way to Barcelona for the MotoGP. The hotel is very nice, clean and well maintained. Rooms were well above average for a hotel by El Camino de Santiago. We were treated like royalty, and the attention was amazing. Nothing was too much or too little. We had dinner and breakfast, and both were really good and tasty.
The host is thoughtful and provides good service. Everyone in this house are nice. Dinner was perfect, after a long day walk, it’s very nice to have a steak for dinner. I will miss them when back to Taiwan.
