Do not stay here if you are a nonsmoker! I reserved a nonsmoking room and ended up in a smoking room. As soon as we got to our room, we could smell the smoke. It was unbearable and I was getting a headache, so we went downstairs to request a room change. The person at the reception told another employee our concern and they said that the room had already been cleaned and all they could do is use a room deodorizer. The lady followed us up to our room and she told us to open up the window and she sprayed the deodorizer in the bathroom and on the bed. As soon as the lady left, we had to close the window because there were flies coming inside. At 3:00 am, we were awoken from the fire alarm. We had to evacuate. All the guests were in pajamas standing outside in the cold for 15-20 minutes. It turned out someone was smoking and that set off the alarm. This was the worse experience we had in a hotel/hostel during our Camino de Santiago.

We're walking the Camino de Santiago and this hostal is not on the Way but it is very comfortable and includes breakfast. We'll find out way back to the path after a good night's sleep. Good bed, comforter, and pillows. A/C. Small but sufficient bathroom, plenty of towels. Concierge is helpful and kind but has limited English. Thank you Google Translate! Down starred location due to not on Camino or downtown. Though there are plenty of restaurants around, we didn't eat in them because we're in bed by the time they open.

This is way nicer than any hostal I have ever stayed at. It is more like a 3 star hotel. They even have a breakfast buffet with bacon and scrambled eggs!

Lovely helpful staff especially the older gentleman who checked us in. He was brilliant in his efforts to help us with all our questions while he didn't speak English and we no Spanish. So warm, kind and welcoming. The bar in front of the hotel is lively and cosy too.

I stayed at Hostal Nirvana for one night while walking the Camino de Santiago. It's a bit out of the way, what with it being about a 10-minute walk from the sights and restaurants. Room 302 was spacious and the bed super comfy. The attached bathroom was nice as well. Wifi worked well throughout the building. My only problem is that the A/C doesn't really cool down the room much. That day was a scorcher with 36 degrees, so it would have been great for the A/C to run properly. But even though I blasted at maximum capacity, the room never got cooler than 25.1 degrees. Breakfast is 5 euro and well worth it if you're walking the Camino.
