Small, dim and damp room with extremely slow WiFi. Very rude girl at service in breakfast who criticized me for going downstairs for some hot water since there is no kettle in the room. Generally unfriendly staff. Can’t believe this is a 4-star hotel. Overrated and overpriced. Stay away. More like a 2/3 star hotel.
The room was clean and well maintained. The bathroom was in good condition. The room was small and quite cramped. The location seemed a little removed from the Camino de Santiago, which is what I was there to begin my trek on. Dining options seemed limited in the immediate area, but it could be that I just didn’t explore enough.
Lovely clean hotel unfortunately no AC so got no sleep , as we were only using it to finish a leg of the Camino and get the train early , it was hopeless. No facilities at the hotel can’t even get a coffee will not is when we come back , I will state again NO AC
It was better than expected after reading some reviews. It was a modern clean hotel offering bed and breakfast with limited public space. It was clean and tidy and the staff very helpful. The location for bars and food was good but it was a 10 minute walk to the historic centre
The hotel is perfectly located near the Ponferrada train station. The entrance, the hallways, and rooms are neat and clean and indicate a recent renovation. The personnel at the front desk are very kind and helpful. The room as well as the bedroom was very clean. On the downside - and this is a strong reason - the beds are hard as rock; this might be the way you want it, but I and my friend found it nearly impossible to sleep on these beds.
