Quirky medieval decor and building. Furnishings in the body of the hotel complement the look. The room was fine and clean. Breakfast was good. Secure parking was important to us for our motorbike and the was more than adequately provided.
Room was nice. Bidet. Tub. Bed comfortable. When I went to order room service they told me it doesn't open until 8pm. So I ordered and at 845pm was called downstairs to get my food. Cold burger and fries. Ice cream melting. No spoon. And rather it being room service from their restaurant it was something similar to Uber eats. I don't understand. I do not recommend.
Avoid!!! Room walls were crawling with bed bugs - see photos. Breakfast very average. Window overlooked bins. Complained to reception and told manager not available.
Do not stay in this hotel. There's bed bugs. Food is not good. It's old and dated. Not a 4 star at all. 2 stars would be too much. Also, staff is not nice and area is not the safest. I can see the bugs problem has been going on for quite a while by the reviews but I doubt they are doing anything about it. Also I heard them telling someone it must have been them that brought them in. What??? And last but not least, there is a difference between an antique look and an old, dated and dusty environment which is what this hotel has. Don't recommend at all. There's plenty other choices in the downtown area much better than this place. You have been warned.
Front reception staff are fantastic. I stayed this week. Once checking into my room i sat on the bed, within 30 minutes I noticed bedbugs. I was moved to another room, however woke up in the morning to bites and bedbugs. The owner/manager was very aggressive and rude towards me. Would not recommend this hotel. It is also very dated.
