Perfect place to stop at your Camino. It is quite a distance from the main wave (where most people starting in Sarria stops), there is beautiful peace and quiet. Albergue has huge garden which I really appreciated. Room with bunk beds is nicely renovated and cozy, the bathrooms are modern and clean. We also had a dinner for 15€ - starter delicious soup, second course pasta that was average and nommy dessert, together with wine and water. We really appreciated that they also provided a vegan option for my friend that was very tasty.
I arrived at this Casa with an upset stomach and could not eat the pilgrims menu. The male owner spoke English and was very accommodating as he agreed to serve me boiled potatoes instead. In addition, our bags were not delivered and he sorted this out for us. This was the most hospitable place we stayed in. The building was authentic and relaxing both inside and outside. I recommend staying here instead of the large towns. A truly special place to stay.
Casa Domingo was a true game changer in terms of our Camino experience. We were on the Camino for 7 days and hadn't experienced a true pilgrim meal with other fellow travelers. Gonzalo was an excellent host and the food was delicious. You can tell that he truly cares. We also met wonderful people at this dinner! I can't thank you enough for this experience.
The room is quite good, and the location is in a quiet area. I have no complaints about these aspects. However, credit cards are not accepted. The biggest issue is the food. Five of us had dinner, and four of us got food poisoning. The owner refuses to acknowledge this. In my opinion, this is a very serious problem.
Beautiful place, smells nice. Renovated with taste, looks positively old. Host is welcoming. Pilgrim diner is hearty, although not fully vegetarian (main dish contains meat, and lacks legumes to replaces animal proteins)
