Perfect location close to "downtown" and near the camino. Very helpful reception and kitchen staff. I had supper there and enjoyed it very much. Room was spacious and comfortable. I think this was my favourite bed/linen situation so far. I slept SO WELL. Control of your own AC/heating 👍 I agree with the comments about the sewage smell through the drains though. I don't know if it's a plumbing issue so close to the river. The bathroom was clean. I'm sensitive to smells and it was tolerable with the drains covered with a towel and bathroom door closed. Only soap that doubles as shampoo provided. Biggest plus for me: it was quiet 🫶

One of the best stops on the Camino. The only problem was a smell coming up from the pipe.In the bathroom, but if you put the shower mat over it, you'll have no trouble at all. The view of the river is beautiful. They also had a fantastic breakfast.

Don’t let the name and their designation fool you. This is far from a hotel let alone a villa. Unfortunately Hotel Villajardin was our worst stay in Spain. After a long hike on the Camino we showed up to the filthiest room I have ever witnessed at a “hotel”. I was staying with one other person and there were 3 beds in the room. And thank goodness for that extra bed, because mine had disgusting brown stains on the sheets as well as my pillow. The bathtub was not clean. Mildew, some hair, and grime everywhere! And worst yet there was a brown line on the toilette upon arrival… which tells me they don’t really clean their rooms. And the absolute worst was an alarm going off throughout hotel at 5am… we very much needed the rest and we couldn’t get it at Hotel Villajardin. The staff were friendly enough, but the breakfast was also less than desirable. What this place has going for them is the location. Just a 2 minute walk to the heart of Portomarin. But with many other options out there with good locations, I would highly recommend not wasting your money here.

Basic, relatively spacious bedroom which was clean with ok bathroom. Nice and quiet but superbly, centrally located close to Church. Service is quick. Food is good too. Owner Brais is very helpful, deserves more stars than current rating.

Stayed at the Albergue there. We stayed at better equipped places for less money. Only one outlet for 9 beds. Albergue is in the basement. Dark and dreary. Emergency exit doors are blocked. Unisex showers have mold. Separate washrooms with toilets that are difficult to flush. No pilgrim stamp. I could go on.
