It was my first Camino and I was very nervous to be walking it with my father. But the owner welcomed us so warmly and helped us with the check-in with such dedication. I was genuinely moved. Even though my Spanish isn’t good, they patiently helped me until the end, and it made me reflect a lot on the true meaning of the Camino. To whom can I show the same patience and kindness? Their service was truly exceptional.
Great place to stay in Portomarin as a Pilgrim on the way to Santiago de Compostela! Private, fair price, great facilities, fully equipped kitchen, clean and spacious dorms, kind hosts and staff, perfect bathrooms, amazing location!
A wonderful alburgue, perhaps the best I've stayed at. The bed has full linens and a towel! This felt like a great luxury. The mattress on the bunk beds was the most comfortable I've slept on at an alburgue while on the Camino. It reminded me of my bed at home. The bathrooms are for one person at a time and the extra privacy is a treat. Plus the water pressure is excellent. Most important is just how welcoming and attentive the owners are. They cleaned the bathroom between uses and came to check on us before quiet time because it was a hot day and they wanted to make sure we knew we could open the window if we wanted it to be cooler. It is well located and the view is beautiful.
Perfect and provides you with sheets and a towel. Private bathrooms that are spacious and clean. Enjoyed it!
