My stay at the Vistalegre Hotel in Portomarín was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the hotel’s modern design, sleek decor, and the welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are beautifully updated—clean, spacious, and thoughtfully appointed with everything a traveler needs to feel at ease. After days on the Camino, the comfort of the bed and the immaculate bathroom were true highlights. What truly sets Vistalegre apart, however, is the service. In particular, I must commend Nerea at the front desk, whose attentiveness and warmth made a lasting impression. She welcomed me with a genuine smile, offered excellent local recommendations, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was smooth. Her professionalism and care made me feel not just like a guest, but like a valued part of the hotel’s community. The location is also ideal—quiet, yet just a short stroll from the heart of Portomarín. Whether you're walking the Camino or simply exploring Galicia, the Vistalegre Hotel offers the perfect balance of modern comfort and heartfelt hospitality. A beautiful hotel based on the Camino. After a long day of walking we had a lovely warm welcome from the receptionist who couldn’t have been more helpful. We used the spa facilities for €12 each which granted us a private session with the jacuzzi, sauna and shower room which was very needed and there was no rush for us to leave at the end of the hour. The breakfast was excellent, however you needed to book the night before due to the limited space and the staff could not have been more efficient. The views from the terrace at the front were stunning and allowed you to be able to watch the pilgrims coming in over the course of the afternoon and evening.
We loved everything about this hotel especially the wonderful service provided by Silvia! The welcome was very warm and friendly, the breakfast was excellent. Everything about our stay was exceptional. I would definitely stay there again. Buen Silvia! Buen Camino!
This hotel exceeded our expectations due to the staff going above & beyond to help us. Laura & her colleague on reception were so helpful & made our stay in portomarin really outstanding. Breakfast in the hotel was excellent with plenty of everything you could want. Highly recommended due to the professionalism, kindness and helpful ways of the staff who provided great recommendations for our onwards travel also.
