Rather pricey, but fine. The rooms are normal, no sheet or towel, but there is a decent place to wash and hang clothes. The showers are kind of gross and there are a lot of stairs. Not the most hospitable welcome I’ve had, in fact the hospitallera disappeared completely after checking us in and we got locked out for a bit. It is a neat place with a balcony and hammocks and couches which we enjoyed. It’s fine, but don’t expect a whole lot for the price.

I booked online along my way as I was hiking Comino, the owner started messaging me a few times during the day and asked me what time I arrive before I get there, I eventually called her and told her that I don’t know but I’ll try to be there by 5:30pm, long story short, she canceled my booking because I arrived 6:10pm because my friend had got some blisters in her foot and we had to stop on our way!! How disappointing & disorganising, the owner was way too pushy. We were rushing to get there ASAP but we couldn’t make it

I was initially happy to be in this albergue until I encountered the two places I needed most: the showers (or a shower) and the laundry room). I was saddened to see these two areas neglected: on the first floor, one of the showers didn’t work and the other other one the water came out so hot it burnt my skin on my back (managing to remove shampoo from my hair and rinsing off was an odyssey) the the drain wasn’t draining immediately and water came out. Moving on, I did laundry and I wondered how come it was so dirty and messy. Not that I am expecting luxury, but I was expecting things to work properly (showers) and laundry area to be actually clean. I hope these two areas are addressed and corrected. I enjoyed the rest of the place.

Cute hostel with a terrace, blankets, free tea/ coffee and a nice kitchen, plus a separate communal area downstairs. Staff were lovely and communicated over Whatsapp before we arrived.

Albergue Puente is pretty basic. The rooms are clean and the mattresses are comfortable, but the bunk beds make squeaky sounds every time when going into the bed. I did not like showers in Albergue - it was difficult to regulate temperature of the water, so that I got icy cold shower, while other peregrino nearly burnt himself with hot water as he could not turn the water off and ended up coming out of the shower cabin naked to cool down 🙈🙈This should be changed ! Albergue doesn't offer dinner nor breakfast, however there is a pretty well equipped kitchen with large dinning room, as well as tea and coffee. Note that you should never share photo of your passport through What's up with anyone, not even with the stuff of this Albergue! I was arriving to Albergue between 17-18 and had weird situation that Albergues stuff insisted the day before on What's up that I would share the photo of my passport with them for automatic check-in and so I refused and explained that I will present my passport upon arrival to Albergue, but I am not sharing my documents online! The next day they called me again and kept insisting on sending photo of the passport. Even when I arrived by 5 pm to the Albergue lady at the reception was still trying to convince me that this is standard procedure in Spain, as she said, but that is not true - taking photos and photocopies of personal documents in such situations is illegal, also in Spain. I am worried that the stuff of this Albergue is not aware of hazards of such procedures.
