Superb. Stopped off on the chance of a bed, and was given a three bed room. For the camino it is on the pricey side but still value for money. Evening meal was excellent and the breakfast was exceptional. A buffet of all you could want, including would you believe,bacon and eggs. 54 euro for d.b &b
The sitting area on the first floor is very comfy. The room is nice, and the city is also interesting. Important: No fridge in the room, and you can check in until 9 pm.
I am walking the Camino. This Alburgue is like a resort. It's beautiful, clean, modern. The bar is great and serves great food. Andrea was very friendly and helpful and took some pics for us too. Highly recommend Alburgue Jakue and Jakue hotel.
The walls are paper thin enabling you to hear the neighbours bathroom. I thought I had left a tap on, it was that loud. The lift is very noisy and clunks with use and it as in use until very late and started very early. It was very noisy with people talking until nearly midnight, not great when pilgrims want to be asleep by 10pm. If you book, ask for a room well away from the lift and stairs. You won’t get any sleep otherwise. Having paid extra for a private room to catch up on sleep, it is was a complete failure.
It’s expensive but it’s great. Make Paula the receptionist the supreme leader of the resort she’s great. Everyone was lovely. I’m happy I stayed here
