the MOST AMAZING and friendly hosts, delicious food, and great interior decoration. couches everywhere, a beautiful and kind cat, and a bustling courtyard with a full bar. this is the kind of place that becomes the destination, not just a stop along the way. our experience was fantastic, clean, lovely, and if we’re ever back on the Camino, we will certainly be back here!!
Nice, clean, relatively new albergue. Beautiful interior. I disagree with previous reviewer who criticised shower- it was fine. New bunks (15Eur) and single beds (20Eur) that were comfortable. Nice garden bar area if weather is good. Poor wifi signal. Evening meal was good for 14Eur (I had v good veg soup, and chicken) but breakfast was poor for 4Eur (rock hard toast with jam + tea/coffee). Recommended.
Usually used by pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago, were there for an extended stay to attend an event. It is also used by regulars in the evening to attend the bar, serving drinks and food.
Lovely albergue, comfortable beds. Host with helper had too much going on though with hotel and restaurant duties. She was a bit terse with customers, unnecessarily, in my opinion.
Disgusting showers with lights that either didn’t work or turned off (and stayed off) 3 minutes after they turned on Two sleeping areas, one with single beds (crazy overpriced) and the other stuffed with bunk beds with no railing. If you were on a top bunk, you risked falling right out of bed. Food was insipid and bland, bare minimum. Unhelpful and rude attitude from the one person running the show. +1 for the cute cat All in all it’s apparent this place is coasting by on the fact it’s the only albergue in town. I recommend to anyone in PV to get a drink at the Green Dolphin, SKIP THIS PLACE ENTIRELY, and push the last 4km to Casa Torre, where you will be treated much better.
